Location:
The Monstera Indanza prefers bright, indirect light. Too much direct sun can burn the leaves, while too little light slows growth and reduces the characteristic leaf openings. A location near an east or west-facing window is ideal.
Watering:
The plant should be watered regularly, but waterlogging should be avoided at all costs. Allow the top layer of soil to dry slightly between waterings. In the warmer months, the plant may need a little more water, while in winter it should be watered less.
Humidity:
As a tropical plant, Monstera Indanza prefers a high humidity of at least 60%. In dry indoor areas, humidifiers or regular spraying of the leaves can promote the growth and health of the plant.
Temperature:
The optimum temperature is between 18 and 28 °C. The plant does not tolerate cold temperatures and should be protected from draughts.
Substrate:
A loose, well-drained substrate that is rich in organic material supports the growth of Monstera Indanza. A mixture of potting soil, perlite and pieces of bark provides the plant with ideal growing conditions and ensures sufficient aeration of the roots.
Fertilise:
During the growing season (spring and summer), the plant should be given a balanced liquid fertiliser every four to six weeks. In autumn and winter, fertilising can be reduced or stopped altogether, as the plant requires fewer nutrients during this time.
